Grossest server stories revealed

If you’ve ever worked as a server, chances are you will have at least one gross server story to tell. Servers have to put up with some pretty nasty things sometimes, as you will see from the revelations below. We took to Whisper (the anonymous secret-sharing app) to find some of the grossest restaurant server stories out there.

These servers have some pretty gross stories to tell. I think you would agree, nobody gets paid enough to put up with this kind of treatment from customers. Next time you go to a restaurant, please keep your servers in mind. At the very least give them a big tip, I think we can all agree they deserve it.

What’s the grossest thing you’ve experienced working as a server?

Some guy hacked up his lungs into a napkin and spit into and then blew his nose into it then asked me to throw out his tissue...

Someone chewing their food, then spitting it out on the plate. This customer did this every time the ate here (which was everyday)

A coworker of mine was cleaning the bathrooms and found a pair of women's underwear that had been shat in.

A woman pulled out a 10dollar bill , to pay me, then sneezed into her hand, still holding the money, and then handed the money to me

An 8 year old barfed all over the table and floor all the way to the bathroom. Stunk up the entire restaurant.

Some one leaving a giant loogy on their plate hidden under a napkin

A woman pulling sweaty bills out of her bra

Once I was getting ready to wrap up a woman's food and she picked it right up in her hands to give it to me (it wasn't finger food) and when I tried to put a plate or a fork underneath it she just plopped it right into my hands to box it up.

Customer ordered cheesecake. It was moldy, so I went to throw it away but the boss just used her bare hands to take the moldy parts off and asked me to serve it. I "accidentally" dropped it on the way to the table.

I had a customer lift his leg up on the table & start clipping his toe nails...

this family kept feeding their grandma tea and endless soup. when I went to clear her bowl she threw up all over my arm. I WAS MORTIFIED!!!

Cleaning up spit cups from chewing tobacco

kids at a table shooting spit wads at people, one hit me in the face and stuck because there was so much slobber. the parents laughed, and left a 7% tip

Cleaning pee off the wall on the other side of the bathroom from the urinal

a man was chugging his beer, puked it up back into the glass, and drank it again, without lowering the glass once.

I saw a co-worker rip out pubes and sprinkle them over a pizza like toppings.

Some old man picking his filthy nails out with the menu - literally made me heave!

This kid would come in every week and he had a stomach problem if he ate too much he'd projectile vomit everywhere. He always over ate. Never made it to the bathroom.

This little boy threw up onto a plate. The parents placed it on windowsill, continued to eat next to it, then proceeded to leave the plate there when they left.

I found a dirty diaper hidden inside a pile of plates. Put my hand in it.

One time I was cleaning out from underneath the kids' highchairs I found a used tampon applicator that somebody had thrown on the ground.

Note to self: don't be a server, and don't eat at a restaurant that isn't 5-star world-renowned
